Upcatch reads the Upwork job feed that is already visible in your browser tab — the same data you see on screen. It processes everything locally on your machine. No personal data, no Upwork credentials, and no job feed content is ever collected, stored, or transmitted to any external server. Your browsing activity stays entirely within your browser.

Yes. Upcatch works by reading the job feed that Upwork shows to logged-in freelancers. You must be signed in to your Upwork account in the same browser where Upcatch is installed. The extension does not store or handle your Upwork credentials in any way.

Upcatch is currently free to use. Install it from the Chrome Web Store and start filtering immediately — no account or payment required to get started.

UpCat is available for all Chromium-based browsers: Google Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Simply install it from the Chrome Web Store and it works seamlessly across all supported browsers.

Upcatch does not call any AI service on its own. Instead, it prepares a ready-to-use prompt for each job — combining your CV, the job title, description, and client country — so you can paste it directly into any AI agent or chat tool you already use (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.). You stay in control of which AI you use and when.

Upcatch comes with three pre-configured prompts: a Cover Letter prompt to draft a tailored application, a Skills Gap prompt to identify what you may be missing for the role, and a Match Analysis prompt to score how well the job fits your profile. All three are fully editable — you can update and save your own versions at any time from the extension settings.

Go to the extension settings and upload your CV as a Markdown (.md) file. Once saved, Upcatch automatically injects your CV content wherever the {{cv}} placeholder appears in your prompts, so every generated prompt already includes your full profile without any extra steps.

Your CV is stored exclusively in your browser's IndexedDB — a local storage area that never leaves your device. Upcatch does not upload, transmit, or share your CV with any server or third party. It is only used locally to build the prompt text you copy and paste yourself.

Open the Upcatch extension panel and go to the Notifications tab. You will need a Telegram Bot token and your Telegram Chat ID. To get a bot token, message @BotFather on Telegram and create a new bot. To find your Chat ID, message @userinfobot. Paste both values into the Upcatch settings and save — you will receive a test notification to confirm the connection.
